A Snowy Park Stroll and Feathered Friends

I woke up to a layer of snow this morning. I quickly got dressed as the sun was out and I didn't think the snow would hang around for too long. I had a walk around the village. I didn't go too far as it was still so cold. The two ponds across from me were mostly frozen over. The birdlife had kept a part of the pond unfrozen as they all collected together.

I took some bird food down to them. The birds struggled to get out of the water but once they did they quickly waddled over to me.

There will be no sitting outside at the village café today. I followed the footpath and down to the tennis courts.

The village tennis players are quite a robust lot, but it's too dangerous to play today.

To warm up, I called in at my favourite café for the first time this year.
