A Dog's Life: Fun in the Fields

After an icy start, the sun came out and it turned into a nice morning. Nobody was on the back lanes. It's usually pretty quiet as not many cars come down here.

I took the pooch over the lavender fields. There's no lavender but there used to be, all before my time. I always check to see if there are any cows in the field, as I like to let the pooch off the lead. The farmer tends to mooove the cows from field to field so we were in luck.

A few planes in the sky with contrails or chemtrails behind them (or whatever you want to call them). There was hardly a cloud in the sky. Thanks to the cold weather, the ground was frozen. At least I will go back with a cleanish dog.

There is a little brook near the gates locally known as Tricket Brook. This brook joins a river and in the past it has serviced an old mill nearby. Though it was still cold, the pooch was straight in the water. His little paws must be freezing.

As we were going past the lake the pooch was on a mission. My feet were hardly touching the ground as he pulled me along. Everything was a blur! Once he knows he's on his way back, there's no stopping him.

Labby is doing his labby thing 🤣... Happy New Year, dear...
Don't laugh .. he's sleeping. Don't wake him up. It's like looking after a child. 😃
Happy New Year to you and Gigi. 🥳
