We don't appreciate what we have until we lose it
Hello everyone, you are welcome to my blog
Hope your day went well? I just got home and decided to sit outside to receive some fresh air, then memories sets in
It was on September 8, around evening, before that day our boss had told us about a tutorial in form of practical which we all must participate in. The plan was to cut both the trouser and jacket that day, around 4pm we started cutting the trouser, because we are much, 12 in number, the boss had to go around checking what we were cutting, she cut hers too, using it as an illustration for us
When we were done cutting, we suspend ours and move towards her to check how she will sew it, it started raining, the rain was so heavy that even when she was done sewing we couldn't go home, getting to 9pm and the rain didn't stop, when I sensed the rain has reduced, I was set to go home, it's a long distance from home and since it was raining I didn't get bike or cab, I had to trek, my phone was in my bag, finally got home and my boss called to ask if I had gotten home because my route was farther than that of others.
I noticed the phone rang but the sound reduced, I thought it was just a minor thing, not until the phone switched off by itself, all my efforts and that of my sis were to no avail, I was so disturbed. realized the rain had drench it
The next day I went to the garage, the engineer opened and cleaned it with the hope it will come up, but it didn't, the rain has affected the screen, my phone was blank for a month and I realized how much I needed the phone and how much I missed surfing the internet, then I know how useful it was, had to borrow phone sometimes to make calls, nothing as good as having access to your own personal things.
I thought to myself you don't appreciate what you have until you loose it, I didn't really feel the impact of the phone until it got damaged, same way we don't appreciate the importance of people in our lives and what they do for us but when they stop and we notice the vacuum. My phone is repaired now and am more careful in handling it, once bitten twice shy.
Thanks for stopping by, do have a lovely day
This was a nice reflection on a sweet gesture from the teacher, but I'm sorry that you had such a distress with your phone.
I hope that your phone will continue to function well, and yes, we sometimes are not grateful enough for the things tangible and intangible, that we have in our lives.
