Les comparto: más o menos a principios de noviembre mi vecina Lázara me pidió permiso para que su pekinés Susy quien se encontraba en período de celo, viniera a pasar unos días en casa con la esperanza de que tuviera bebés de Samy.

Hicimos la prueba para ver cómo se llevarían y fue amor a primera vista. Así que la novia se quedó y pasaron una semana de luna de miel.

El 3 de enero temprano mi vecina me llamó para invitarme a un café y de paso conocer a mis bisnietos (recuerden que Samy es el hijo perruno de mi niña mayor y está temporalmente a mi cuidado)

Fui sola para no perturbar a la debutante mamá ni a los cachorros. Eran lo más lindo que había visto nunca.

Tres hembras blancas como Susy y tres machitos manchados como Samy. Seis en total era demasiada emoción para mí. Eran perfectos.

Seguí de cerca su salud y su alimentación como mismo había compartido las responsabilidades del período de maternidad. Aunque Lázara es una excelente madre humana es mucho el trabajo y los gastos que conlleva cuidarlos debidamente, y así entre todos conseguimos garantizar su bienestar.

Hoy los cachorros cumplen cinco meses. La mayoría de ellos fueron adoptados en su momento. Junto a la madre se quedó Niño, quien precisamente es la viva estampa de su padre.

En esta visita preferí dejarle el cinturón de paseo a Samuel para evitar sorpresas, ya que no sabía como iba a reaccionar a la presencia del hijo. Por suerte solo se dedicaron a olisquearse y conocerse en paz. Estoy muy orgullosa de mi bebé.

Dato curioso: dos de los pequeños, Stella y Niño, presentan una preciosa mutación genética llamada heterocromía que se distingue por mostrar iris de diferente color en cada ojo.

Sorprendentemente cuando investigué, este es un rasgo más frecuente en huskies siberianos o dálmatas pero extremadamente raro entre los cachorros de pekinés. Sin embargo aquí los tenemos, dos en una misma camada. Debe ser porque tienen padres muy especiales.

Today the puppies are five months old. Most of them were adopted at the time. Niño stayed with their mother, who is the spitting image of his father.

During this visit, I preferred to leave the walking belt for Samuel to avoid any surprises, since I didn't know how he would react to the presence of my son. Luckily, they only spent time sniffing each other and getting to know each other in peace. I am very proud of my baby.
