El día de hoy quiero contarles mi experiencia en esta actividad tan bonita a la que fuimos invitados. Primero, les contaré un poco de qué trata todo esto. Una doctora de la ciudad lleva dos años organizando este tipo de eventos de caridad. Durante 3 días realiza consultas odontológicas a cambio de un juguete, estos juguetes son los que regalan a niños de escasos recursos.
En esta edición pudimos participar con las niñas de la academia y presentar una de nuestras piezas coreográficas ante el público asistente.

Today I want to tell you about my experience in this beautiful activity we were invited to. First, I'll tell you a little bit about what this is all about. A local doctor has been organizing this kind of charity event for two years. During 3 days she performs dental consultations in exchange for a toy, these toys are the ones they give away to underprivileged children.
In this edition we were able to participate with the girls of the academy and present one of our choreographic pieces to the audience.
Luego de bañarme y vestirme comencé a maquillarme (esto se los compartiré en otro vlog). Realice un maquillaje sencillo pues sabía que hacía muchísimo calor y que iba a sudar demasiado. Apliqué bastante protector solar y esperamos que pasaran por nosotras. Mientras tanto las niñas reportaban por el grupo de WhatsApp que también estaban listas y ya casi salían hacia el lugar del evento.
Una de las madres de las niñas nos recogió, en el vehículo íbamos bastante apretados pues era muy pequeño para la cantidad de personas que íbamos jajaja pero eso no fue inconveniente pues la emoción de las niñas por bailar era mucho mayor.
After showering and getting dressed I started to do my makeup (I will share this in another vlog). I did a simple makeup as I knew it was very hot and I was going to sweat a lot. I applied a lot of sunscreen and waited for them to come by. In the meantime, the girls reported through the WhatsApp group that they were also ready and were almost on their way to the event.
One of the mothers of the girls picked us up, in the vehicle we were quite tight because it was very small for the amount of people we were going hahaha but that was not inconvenient because the excitement of the girls to dance was much greater.
Llegamos al lugar y la actividad ya había comenzado. Habían trampolines para los niños y Santa estaba presente. Debo admitir que cada vez que veo a Santa en una actividad mi niña interior salta de la emoción.
Mientras esperábamos al resto de las niñas que iban a bailar las que ya estaban ahí se divertían jugando y abrazando a Santa.
Yo por otro lado, afinaba detalles con la Dra Mine, encargada del evento, para la presentación de mis niñas.
We arrived at the site and the activity had already started. There were trampolines for the kids and Santa was present. I must admit that every time I see Santa at an activity my inner child jumps with excitement.
While we waited for the rest of the girls who were going to dance the ones who were already there were having fun playing and hugging Santa.
I on the other hand, was fine tuning details with Dr. Mine, in charge of the event, for the presentation of my girls.
Y el momento llegó. Luego de mucho saltar en los trampolines, era hora de realizar el baile. Todo salió como lo planeado, las niñas cautivaron la atención de todos y se llevaron muchos aplausos. El baile que realizaron fue una de las piezas de nuestro Espectáculo "Christmas Time". Cabe resaltar, que para la corta edad que tienen más niñas y la poca experiencia, siempre me dejan muy sorprendida, su pasión y disciplina las ayuda a realizar un buen trabajo.
Después de bailar pudieron disfrutar libremente de los trampolines, pinta caritas y juegos que realizaban en la actividad. Las pequeñas se tomaron fotos con Santa y decidimos tomarnos una foto grupal "loca" como la llamamos. Pasados unos minutos nos dieron jugo y perro caliente que cayó de maravilla porque el calor era insoportable y las niñas ya estaban un poco hambrientas.
And the moment arrived. After much jumping on the trampolines, it was time to perform the dance. Everything went as planned, the girls captivated everyone's attention and got a lot of applause. The dance they performed was one of the pieces of our show "Christmas Time". It is worth noting that for the young age that most girls have and little experience, they always leave me very surprised, their passion and discipline helps them to do a good job.
After dancing, they were free to enjoy the trampolines, face painting and games they played during the activity. The little ones took pictures with Santa and we decided to take a "crazy" group picture as we called it. After a few minutes we were given juice and a hot dog, which was great because the heat was unbearable and the girls were already a little hungry.
Ya estábamos agotadas así que también decidimos volver a casa muy ilusionadas porque en nuestra academia estamos también organizando una actividad parecida y nos emociona la idea de brindar alegría a niños de la comunidad.
They also enjoyed ice cream and popcorn. Little by little they came to pick up the girls and as they were leaving they were given a cotillion that contained some gifts that the Doctor selected for them, the girls were very excited.
We were already exhausted so we also decided to return home very excited because in our academy we are also organizing a similar activity and we are excited about the idea of bringing joy to children in the community.
