My plan to buy a bicycle for myself

For a while now I have been thinking about getting a bicycle for myself, I remember telling you all that I was in the process of learning how to ride a bicycle, well I am still learning but notwithstanding, I intend to get my bicycle for easy learning and practice and also because of the cost of transportation in my country and area.
I mean, yesterday I had somewhere I needed to be, so before I left the house I decided to calculate the cost of transportation down to where I was going to and I realized that it cost more than a thousand naira which is about one dollar and that's about two of my HBD's I mean that's a gruesome amount of money from someone who is a student, so I decided I wasn't going to go to the place, not because it wasn't important but because that kind of money is enough for me to get something tangible even foodstuffs.
I wouldn't even forget to mention how the high cost of transportation has hindered many students from attending some relevant classes because most times or days they do not have the money for transportation to and fro school or their parents do not have the money to give them for transportation. Funny enough, I am part of this set of people who most days have to stay back from school and class because I do not have the money to go to school the complete five days a week.

The high cost of transportation to school and any important place I have to go is something that is disheartening and heart-wrenching because the money spent for even a short location is enough for a two persons dinner, and so most days one just has to turn down an important occasion or event because of the high cost of transportation down to that venue. Now that we are one break, I would love to go out but unfortunately, I can not go out except it is to a place that is trekkable because of the high cost of transportation. Worst of all is that my place of living is far from town, so to be able to access town for any reason, I have to pay a lot of money for that purpose and it is draining.
So, I have made a budget for getting a bicycle soon before the resumption of school, so it will aid me in getting to school without worrying about transportation and also help me learn to ride better on the road. I don't know how to go about it, but I have told my friend who has been teaching me how to ride a bicycle and he said that he would help me check for bicycles in a walk-in store that tallies with my budget and make sure I will be purchasing a better bicycle that I shouldn't worry about anything , he would aid me in getting a better bicycle.
So, guys, I am hoping that before the end of next month, as I have a lot on my plate, but since it is a plan, I will be saving towards it and I will be able to purchase for myself a bicycle before I resume school and when I do that, I will let you guys know. So, for my bicycle training update, I am improving better and faster than I had imagined, all thanks to my tutor. Although I had a little injury here and there before I was capable of standing on my own without fear, and I remember on some days, I told him I wasn't going to learn again, but he encouraged me and I am glad I kept pushing because I don't know how I would have managed in such a season as this. So, guys wish me well as I undergo this plan.

Its really a pathetic situation. The high cost of everything in the country is driving us to the age. Just yesterday, fuel price moved to NGN80 per liter at the petrol stations. This was the main reason transporters increased fares. Honestly, if a bicycle will cut the cost of movement, then why not? The economy is bad that to make money is tough. I really feel for students here.

Over time a bicycle can really save you money I think. But you do have to make an investment first by buying one. But after that you'll be saving money every time you ride your bicycle.
Don't forget you'll also need to save some money for bicycle maintenance.
