If this question came in back then, I think I would have said that I packed too many that I ended up not using 80% of the things I packed. I mean, a few times I have traveled out of my state, although for a few days, when I did the traveling alone, I had to pack so much that you would think I am relocating when I am actually going there for a two to three days holiday, especially as a result of an occasion I had to attend, I always ended up asking myself why I packed that much for just a few days.

When I and my girlfriend and started traveling together, at first it was the same but I guess we learned the hard way, so we had to adjust. I would always prefer long-distance travel, and sitting by the window side makes it more fun because it gives me a perfect view of my environment, and get to see things I wouldn't have seen if not for the travel and maybe get to enjoy the fresh air that comes with sitting by the window while traveling.

Firstly, I think women generally have this attitude or tendency to pack more than their needs, why do I say this, yesterday night, I and my friend watched a Nigeria movie where a man and his wife decided to travel on vacation to another country for just a few days and while the man went with just one small travel bag, the woman came out with three travel bags and I was speechless what she would be putting in those three bags for just a three days vacation and while she tried to explain to her husband what was inside the bag, my friend and I couldn't stop laughing because we've both had the travel packing experience, although now, we try to be conscious.

The first time I and my girlfriend traveled together for an occasion, we got there and came back home regretting we packed so much that we ended up not using but only adding to the loads we had to carry for packing too many unnecessary loads, so now when we are traveling, we both make a list of what we will be needing to pack individually and show it to each other for scrutiny to be sure that we aren't packing too much unnecessary loads as we are going to be the ones to suffer it especially if we end up not using them.

Now, I am conscious of packing, so I either under-pack or pack based on what I will need for my journey because I do not like to carry too much load, I do not want to be carrying too many travel bags all in the name of I am traveling, I now enjoy being smart when traveling. Also, I know that most times, I forget things, so in a bid not to forget my bag inside the bus, I make sure that all my things are put in at least one traveling bag, to enable me to remember what I was carrying as I and my friend almost lost one of our traveling bags on our first travel together, we forgot about the other bag, thank God the driver came down to lock and saw the bag and immediately called the attention the rest of us who came down from the bus about the bag.

It was so embarrassing and hilarious that we both forgot about our bag when we came down from the bus even though it was both of us who kept the bag there to create space for ourselves and the other passengers. We got laughed at by the driver and the rest of the passengers who were with us when the incident happened about how we packed our bags like we were relocating.
