These inflorescences are from a plant of the genus Billbergia.

They belong to the Bromeliaceae family, that is, the same family as pineapples.

I had them for several years and they had multiplied without much care.

Tenía varios años con ellas y se habían multiplicado sin necesidad de muchos cuidados.

They were in a pot on a plastic chair. I took pictures of and made a post about them.

I once saw bees visiting them.

I tried to take macro photos where its purple fruits could be seen.

I thought they'd take care of themselves, so I watered them occasionally. I also didn't transplant the new ones or fertilize them.
