Here we used to clean and paint the houses for the arrival of the baby Jesus and the new year, but this has become difficult due to the high costs.

The celebrations were quieter and with fewer family members than in previous years. My husband, one of my sons, and a nephew were absent. My younger sister and her family, along with one of my nieces, came for dinner only on the 24th. Three months ago, my daughter and her husband visited us, which made us feel even more nostalgic.
