When my siblings and I were little, Mom used to make a very simple dessert that tasted heavenly to me. She'd bake a sponge cake made only with wheat flour, eggs, and sugar, then spread it with strawberry jam, sprinkle with snow sugar, roll it up, and chill it. We'd eat it in slices, and you could see the swirling lines of the jam.

There are many songs that move me even though it's been a while since I first heard them. Among them are "Something" and "Michelle" by The Beatles.

"Something" is a romantic song that George Harrison dedicated to his first wife. "Michelle" is another beautiful piece composed by the John Lennon-Paul McCartney duo, and is also dedicated to a young love.
