I read the invitation to do something related to the theme of love ❤️ and friendship about celebrating its day this month.

I still had some unused yarns, others from unfinished work and many other recyclable materials.
So I set out to make a cosmetic case that could be converted into a small purse.
I was inspired by a two-needle knitting video that I saw on YouTube and at first it seemed simple to me. When I put it into practice I realized that it was going to take a lot of time and work ⏲️.

Aún me quedaban algunos estambres sin usar, otros de labores sin terminar y muchos otros materiales reciclables.
Entonces me dispuse hacer un estuche portacosméticos que se pudiera convertir en una pequeña cartera.
Me inspiré en un video de tejido a dos agujas que ví en Youtube y al principio me pareció sencillo. Cuando lo llevé a la práctica me di cuenta de que iba a llevar mucho tiempo y trabajo ⏲️.

Materials I used
Stamens of purple 💜, white, fuchsia, light blue 💙, light green 💚 and red wine.
Purple sewing thread
Sewing needle
Fabric from old blue jeans
Stuffed
A zipper or closure
Fabric to cover the seams
2.75 millimeter knitting needles.

Procedure:
I knitted 7 pieces using all the colors of yarn I had available. I distributed them combining them so that I didn't lack threads.

I knit the two largest pieces with 59 stitches and 62 rows in false bridle stitch, making sure that the colors contrast.

The longest piece, which corresponds to the base and half of the sides, was knitted with 20 stitches and 148 rows in fuchsia thread and garter stitch (all rows knitted).

I knit the two pieces corresponding to the closure and part of the sides with 10 stitches and 156 rows in the same garter stitch, but with purple color 💜.

I made the smaller pieces with 20 stitches for 10 rows in garter stitch to attach 1 plastic handle to each side.

After all the pieces were woven, I cut pieces of the same size from the blue jean fabric and sewed them so that they would be the lining of the bag.

After I managed to put everything together, I crocheted two chains with number 5.5 hook and all the colors used to make the handle. With crochet number 0 I crocheted a white heart with amigurumi technique, filled it and tied it to the zipper pull.

Since I thought both the back and right side of the woven work were beautiful, I was undecided about which of the two to use, so I decided on both, one for each side.
