Hello, Splinters Fanatics!

Splinterlands is an amazing card game full of monsters and archons that can be combined to form surprising strategies. New cards are always being implemented in Splinterlands, constantly changing the existing metas and combinations. In today's post, we'll talk about an extremely powerful tank that I really like, especially when combined with other monsters or Archons to create good synergy.

There are monsters and Archons that, because they are player favorites, end up being used in most battles, leaving other equally strong monsters aside. In today's post, I'll analyze Commander Slade, a Water Splinter monster that has high synergy with many monsters from the same Splinter.

Commander Slade takes on the role of the main tank in most battles, but it's also an excellent secondary tank, especially when the ruleset that grants the Reach ability is present or when a main tank with the Flank ability is deployed.

Commander Slade is a rare monster with the abilities: Enfeeble, Dodge, Defect, and Backfire. It's a high-speed monster with high health and armor, and high melee damage. Honestly, it's one of the best tanks in the Rebellion Reward collection.

When combined with other monsters and Archons, it becomes even more powerful. Combining this monster with monsters that increase or decrease the opponent's speed is an excellent strategy.

An Archon that has excellent synergy with Commander Slade is Cryptic, which grants all allied monsters the Blind ability, causing opposing melee and ranged monsters to have a 15% chance to miss attacks.

In this battle, the available rulesets are: Ferocity, Melee Mayhem, and Deflection. There was 51 mana available, which was already enough to scale against a monster with a lot of mana. In addition, all Splinters were available, except Terra.

My opponent chose Archon Prunda Undervesch, a multi-element Water and Life monster. This increases the flexibility of choice, allowing us to see the best monsters from each Splinter group. Our opponent also picked Commander Slade, but as a secondary tank, since Dar 'Gottem' Gearnut is a super main tank with the Flank ability, which allows melee damage monsters to attack from the first position.

In the second round, it's easy to see that our team has high synergy. Firstly, because of the Swiftened ability which increases the speed of all monsters by (+1), and also because the archon's Blind ability made it so that the opponent's attacks practically never hit our tank.

This battle was truly insane; almost no attack managed to hit our tank. That's surprising and impressed me, as no monster was defeated in this battle, not even the monster with the Taunt ability. And keep in mind that monsters with Taunt are penalized by Fury.

Our lineup proved so strategic that the opponent couldn't defeat our main tank, which held firm so that our team in the backline wouldn't suffer so many attacks. This battle shows how a well-thought-out strategy can be superior to simply fielding the strongest cards. It was a good battle!

Some observations:

• Commander Slade possesses many abilities, making it a versatile monster for various situations. One of them is protecting monsters from Blast attacks due to the Deflect ability when scaled to the second position;

• It has two speed-focused abilities: Dodge and Backfire. If the monster misses an attack, it takes damage (2). To make this effect even more powerful, increase the monster's speed or combine Blind with it.

• The only downside is the high mana cost to scale this monster.

Splinterlands é um card game surpreendente cheio de monstros e archons, que podem ser combinados para formar estratégias surpreendentes. Há sempre novas cartas sendo implementadas em Splinterlands e isso acaba mudando sempre os metas e combinações atualmente existentes. No post de hoje vamos falar de um tanque extremamente poderoso que gosto bastante, principalmente quando combinando com outros monstros ou Archons, de forma a ter uma boa sinergia.

Há monstros e Archons que, por serem favoritos dos jogadores, acabam sendo usados na maioria das batalhas, deixando outros monstros igualmente fortes de lado. No post de hoje, vou analisar Commander Slade, um monstro da Splinter Água que possui alta sinergia com muitos monstros desse mesmo Splinter.

Commander Slade assume a função de tanque principal na maioria das batalhas, mas também é um excelente tanque secundário, principalmente quando o ruleset que concede a habilidade Reach está presente ou quando é escalado um tanque principal com a habilidade Flank.

Commander Slade é um monstro raro que possui as habilidades: Enfeeble, Dodge, Defect e Backfire. É um monstro de alta velocidade, alta quantidade de saúde e armadura e um dano melee elevado. Sinceramente é um dos melhores tanque da coleção Rebellion Reward.

Um Archon que tem uma excelente sinergia com Commander Slade é Cryptic, que concede a todos os monstros aliados a habilidade Blind, que faz com que os monstros melee e ranged adversários tenham 15% de errar ataques.

Nessa batalha os ruleset disponíveis são: Ferocity e Melee Mayhem e Deflection. Havia 51 de mana disponível o que já era suficiente para escalar monstro com muito mana. Além de todos os Splinters disponíveis, exceto Terra.

Meu oponente escolheu o Archon Prunda Undervesch, multielemento água e Vida. O que aumenta a flexibilidade de escolha, com isso vemos os melhores monstros de cada Splinter. Na segunda rodada, é fácil percebe que nosso time tem uma sinergia elevada. Primeiramente, pela habilidade Swiftened que aumenta a velocidade de todos os monstros em (+1), além disso a habilidade Blind do archon fez com que os ataques do oponentes praticamente não acertem o nosso tanque.

Essa batalha foi realmente insana, quase nenhum ataque conseguiu acerta nosso tanque. Isso é surpreendente e me deixou impressionado, o que fez com que nenhum monstro fosse derrotada nessa batalha, nem mesmo o monstro que possui a habilidade a habilidade Taunt. E olha que os monstros com Taunt são penalizados devido a Fury.

A nossa escalação se mostrou tão estratégica que o oponente não conseguiu derrotar nosso tanque principal, que suportou firmemente, para que nosso time na retaguarda não sofresse tantos ataques. Essa batalha mostra o quanto um estratégia bem pensada pode ser superior a somente escalar as cartas mais forte. Essa foi uma boa batalha!

Algumas observações

• Commander Slade possui muitas habilidades o que o torna um monstro versátil para várias situações. Uma delas é proteger os monstros de Blast devido a habilidade Deflect, quando escalado na segunda posição;

• Ele possui duas habilidade focada em velocidade: Dodge e Backfire. Se o monstro erra um ataque ele leva dano (2). Para tornar esse efeito ainda mais poderoso é aumenta a velocidade desse monstro ou combinar Blind a esse monstro.

• Único ponto negativo é a alta mana, para escalar esse monstro.
