Yesterday I had the mission of starting an electrical renovation in a church located in the village of Castro, in Santa Luzia do Itanhy. Castro is a tourist destination full of history and with impressive nature. The place is surrounded by the Piauí and Piautinga rivers and has the Mata do Crasto, a forest reserve that accompanies practically the entire route there — a scenery that already makes the trip special even before arriving at the destination.

My trip this time was not for leisure, but for work. I went to prepare the electrical project and compile a list of materials needed for the church renovation. I spent the morning with the people who were doing maintenance on the roof, while I developed the technical part. After lunch, with my tasks completed, I took a walk along the waterfront and took some photos. Even though it was a quick visit, the place captivated me.

I'm eager to return and have more time. Next time, I really want to go as a visitor: take a boat trip along the rivers, have lunch of grilled fish by the tide, and explore this place better, a place that blends simplicity, beauty, and a welcoming atmosphere. Meeting Castro at work was already special—I imagine what it will be like to meet him without rushing, just enjoying the moment.

Ontem tive a missão de iniciar uma reforma elétrica em uma igreja localizada no povoado do Castro, em Santa Luzia do Itanhy. O Castro é um destino turístico cheio de história e com uma natureza impressionante. O lugar é cercado pelos rios Piauí e Piautinga e conta com a Mata do Crasto, uma reserva florestal que acompanha praticamente todo o trajeto até lá — um cenário que já torna a viagem especial antes mesmo de chegar ao destino.

Minha ida dessa vez não foi a passeio, mas sim a trabalho. Fui para elaborar o projeto elétrico e levantar a lista de materiais necessários para a reforma da igreja. Passei a manhã com o pessoal que estava realizando manutenção no telhado, enquanto eu desenvolvia a parte técnica. Após o almoço, já com minhas tarefas concluídas, aproveitei para dar uma volta na orla e registrar algumas fotos. Mesmo sendo uma visita rápida, o lugar me cativou.

Ficou a vontade de voltar com mais calma. Da próxima vez, quero ir realmente como visitante: fazer o passeio de lancha pelos rios, almoçar um peixe assado à beira da maré e explorar melhor esse lugar que mistura simplicidade, beleza e uma atmosfera acolhedora. Conhecer o Castro trabalhando já foi especial — imagino como será conhecê-lo sem pressa, apenas aproveitando o momento.
