Nature is our medicine source: Wild Goldenberry
Since I was a child my Mom and Dad used to make natural resource medicine for us and I learned a lot from them. This culture still exists nowadays in my community. Even the community still keeps some of the medicine plans in case they need it in emergency situations.
Characteristics of the goldenberry in the wild, photo property of my own
Just like the one that I show you above, it grows wildly in our backyard is Wild Goldenberry which is widely known as a medicine resource in many countries. In my home town, this plan is known as Trueng Kachueng = Aceh, while in Bahasa it is known as Ciplukan. This Physalis Angulata or it may be called in English as Goldenberry (perhaps) has many benefits as you can check it in Google.
I am not going to tell you what is mentioned on Google, but it is how my family uses it for many purposes.
For Fever
Take a handful of goldenberry leaves, boil it in a glass of water for about 5 minutes, and drink it after adding palm sugar.
It shows the ripe goldenberry fruit on the plant
For Open Wound
Clean a handful of goldenberry leaves, grind it properly, and apply on the open wound after cleaning it properly. But, it must be avoided from the water for at least for 2 days.
For Hypertency/Diabetes
Take the whole plant including the root and chop it before boiling it in 3 glasses of water for 10 minutes. Drink it once/twice a day for 3 consecutive days.
For Immune Booster
You just need to eat the fresh Goldenberry fruit any you like, and you can also make a juice and mix it with other high anti-oxidant fruits.
The fresh goldenberry fruits are just taken from the plant
I like to eat this wild berry when it is still fresh because of its juicy taste since I was a kid, and now I show it also to my kids and teach them how to eat it when they find it in the wild back garden.
Thank you for reading my post

Nature has been a healing process that has been since the existence of man on earth.
Thanks for sharing
Of course, the healing source has been provided since the earth was created, it is just because we don't learn enough then we have no proper knowledge to use the natural resources for ourselves. Thank you for stopping by my post @pazartesi

That was very interesting, thank you for sharing it! I have a couple of those plants here, in Greece but I only knew about the benefits of the fruits!
I just knew a little about it which I have used in my life, I am sure that there are many more benefits of this goldenberry. Some say that it can cure cataracts and anemia, but I don't know how to prepare for kinda uses. Thank you very much for supporting my post @fotostef
Best Regards
Funny thing is that we were talking about this plant ant its benefits at lunch today, and then @fotostef sees your post :)
Thanks for sharing!
Yes...sometimes it how life connecting one another, happy to see you guys. I read your intro post, where you tell about trying hard to live organic life. I do it as well here, I love everything organic, luckily I live in Aceh-Indonesia (Tropical part of the world) where many land still cultivating without chemical things and it is easy to grow our own organic vegetable instead of buying in the market which is difficult to find organic one, even though we can sometimes find the organic one in the supermarket the problem will be the price.
So kind of you to read the intro, thanks for taking the time to do that :)
Really nice that we crossed paths!
I admire what you do. Unfortunately right now we only cultivate olive trees and some herbs, but we know how hard and satisfying at the same time it is to have your own veggies and fruits. Especially tropical fruits :)
When you want to know about a new friend you will look at it a bit more, so I look up the intro post to know who I am making friends with, and that is a normal thing to do.
Now, my brother and I are focusing on planting Papaya and cultivating stingless bees, because the stingless bees have much more propolis and bee pollen than regular bees (Apis Dorsata or Apis Cerana). You can search "Honey from Trigona itama", this kind of bee produces sour honey, bee pollen, and propolis that can be extracted using olive oil, which is the best one, but since olive oil is much more expensive I am using Coconut Virgin Oil that we make ourselves. I made a little post about it here @traisto : Sting-less bees honey: best immune system. If you can find a kind of bee in your area, you can cultivate it at home and you can get high quality and pure organic honey. Start to pay attention to the tree or log wood with holes and smaller creatures around @traito and @fotostef. I will make a post about it when I come home again next week.
Regards
I've heard about stingless bees, but have no further idea. Will check your post, thanks! I haven't heard anyone having this kind of bees around, they are definitely not native here. We used to have the usual bees that when they get angry they furiously sting :) On the contrary with yours, where we lived in Crete the native species was very aggressive and was really hard to handle. Ours looked like angels compared to them :)
Best of luck with your new projects!!!
Thank you very much my friend and best of luck to you both.

Such a beautiful plant, I think it is also called ground cherry although it seems like there are several related plants called ground cherries. I had no idea it was also medicinal. Thanks for sharing!
You are most welcome and thank you for stopping by my post and giving feedback, it is indeed a lot of plants related to ground cherry. Actually, there are a lot of kinds of cherry that have medicinal benefits such as blue barry leaves for curing the cough.
It is a pleasure for me when my post is beneficial to others. Have a good day @celendulacraft
Interesting post. I've bookmarked it and reblogged it. It';s a popular garden fruit here but folks are generally not aware of its health benefits. Thanks for sharing,
Hi, thank you very much @ligayagardener. As I am a farmer, natural resources medicine is something valuable for me and I dont like to consume chemical medicine.

Wow! I didn't know that, it's a little bit difficult to find this plant in my country but maybe it's not impossible.
It is absolutely possible to find it on your side, you just need to pay more attention to the ground
best wishes for you
