Things at the farmland

(Edited)

Maybe this is the time for me to show to you the things that I have in the farmland. Well the land is not mine, it belongs to the landowner which is not my father. My father just like most of the farmers here in my place are only the cultivator or maybe it is called as sharecropper out there.

usually at this time of the year, my father will plant rice paddy here, but since I am home now, I want to plant some horticultural crops in the land, because as far as I know that can be a lot profitable than planting rice.

This is just one plot of land, and there are two other plots that is now being planted with rice, so there still be rice crops in the future for us to feed on.

Anyway here are the things that I have in the ricefield, not sure if I should called it ricefield, as there are no rice paddy yet. hahah

Today, I transplanted two trays of Bokchoy seedling, the seedling is 12 days old, and it is a good time for transplanting into the field.

Hopefully it will grow well, but I need to take care of the caterpillar attack that affected the previous harvest.

Here are the land that I planted the bokchoy. I don't plant the whole plot with bokchoy, but rather planted them with different crops for several reason.

I must say that he bokchoy is the easier to grow, and in 22 days after the transplanting, they are ready to be harvested. But the problem is that bokchoy is not a very popular vegetable here, I am having some issue selling them.

As you can see in the photo below, i still have some rows that has not been harvested. In two days I will harvest them, as I have the order already from the vegetable seller.

Here I have trays of seedling that awaiting to be transplanted, I think I will transplant them after I harvest the other in two days.

And here is the new bokchoy seed that I sow this afternoon. so max in 14 days I have another seeding that I need to transplant.

Here in another part of the plot, my father plant corn in the new beds, which I will plant chilli when it is 30 days old. and those in the middle was the shallot that my aunty planted, she bought the seedling but forgot that she doesn't has a space in her land to plant, so she put it here instead. hahah

The corn seedling emerging from the soil. They looks so healthy.

Now here is my focus this time, rows of raised bed where I planted shallot, and this is the one that I hope will grow well and give me the best crop as possible.

So far they looks so healthy and grows really well. the shallot usually took 60 days from planting to harvesting, and the selling price is usually really nice. But this will be a hard work waiting to be done, I still need to buy the nutrition and also the pesticide for them.

And here is the last part, the dried long bean that already finished its crop time. I need to replant them with long bean again, so that I don't need to take out the bamboo stake that support the long bean. Wish me luck to all will go well. ;)
