Teeming with little life

Disclaimer, if you are into a healthy gardening, then seeing the photos below can give you a little anxiety.

Why I said that is because these are something that you don't really want to have in your garden, because if you see this far too many than it means that you will not get the harvest that you want in the future.

I am talking about some pests that attack the chili plant in my garden. The plant is quite old already, and I am thinking of replacing it with a new one, but at the moment it still bears some fruit, so I decided to keep it until I harvest all of the fruit before replacing them.

And as the tittle says the chili plant is teeming with so many little life, and for some, it could be quite disturbing, but I also have good news, as I also have proof that nature has its way of protecting the garden from these pests.

The first one I have here is the white fly. And you might be wondering where are those little flies with the wings? But don't be fooled because they are hiding behind those fluffy and hairy white balls.

I hope that you can spot one of the flay on the lower left of this leaf. They can be quite annoying, as they spread so fast.

Here in this photo below you can see a lot of little creatures swarming over the small chili flower. The translucent ones are the aphids, another pest that could harm the plant, and they have the ants attending them, as the aphids and the ants have a symbiotic mutualism relationship.

But lucky for me that here some of the natural guardians are already in action in the photo below, you can see the critters with black and white colorations, that is the larvae of the ladybug, and they are ferocious predators, and they can eat those aphids in no time.

Earlier this morning when I checked on the plant, I saw that most of the aphids and the whitefly were gone. The efficient predator has done its job very nicely.

I am not really sure what is this one, maybe another stage of the ladybug larvae, but I highly doubt it.
