Some Extras from The Street Marching Competition - Monomad challenge
This is my entry for the #monomad challenge hosted and curated by @monochromes
These photos are just when I try to observe other people watching the street marching competition. You can read about the competition which is held to celebrate Indonesian Independence Day in my post yesterday.
I am always wanted to try to do street photography, but I am still way too shy and a little bit scared of how people will think of my taking photos outside for not a particularly special day or place.
Even in the crowd where everyone is eagerly taking out their phone to capture the moment, I am still a little bit nervous taking out my big camera with a long lens. But here are some of the shots that I take by observing the other people when they watch the street marching competition.
I saw these kids are moving spot, trying to find the best place in the shade to watch the competition.
Aim, shoot, post, rinse and repeat, for the social media content. : )
The Yakult Lady with what seems to be her daughter trying to sell Yakult (probiotic drinks) while also taking her daughter to watch the competition. Killing two birds with one stone.
One way Balinese lady carries things above her head. She do it with free hands and manage to keep it balanced, and she was walking also.
