Same Species, different time

(Edited)

I took this same species of caterpillar at a different time, and also attacking the same plant that my mother has. She sowed some orange seeds in the polybag that she used to plant ginger in the past. Although it germinated and grow, I am a little bit skeptical about the plant, so I just left them there when my mother asked me for a recommendation. Also, since we don't really have a space to grow the plant at home, I just think it is better to leave them there, and maybe uproot them in the future.

But before that, this plant got a visit from this caterpillar, and I must say that they chose a harder leaf to eat. Oranges tend to have hard leaves, and they also have a strong fragrance. so I think this little guy has a different taste, they chose the harder one. hahah

The first two photos below I took in the morning, when there were still some morning dew can be seen as you can see below.

Then at different occasion I took another photo of the same species late in the afternoon.

But both I think look really nice, and I really love the color pattern that it has on its body.

I marvel at the photographic quality, especially of photos taken so close up, really beautiful. Nature always offers us opportunities to stop and look at it in detail.

It was timely that you found that caterpillar right there and the morning dew made the pictures even more spectacular. The details of the caterpillar are clearly seen as are those of the leaves which although harder to eat, on the caterpillar's part, gave you the opportunity to capture it. Loved your posting. Best regards.

The shape of its body and color pattern is peculiar to observe, appreciate the difference between the morning and afternoon shot :)
