The city looks very clean and beautiful.
Happy that there are some old building that still kept maintained, I believe it will be costly as well isn't it?

You're right. The buildings are old and difficult to maintain, but if the government designates them as having historic value, then they cannot be knocked down. Sometimes, the structures are lifted and moved somewhere else to free up the land if they want to build in that spot. It's a complex and contentious issue, as you can imagine.
