Caterpillar parade
Well, I am not talking about a parade in which there are a lot of caterpillars lining up in one place. I have so many caterpillar photos to share today, but from one species, although there are actually two individuals today.
These caterpillars are more likely to be in the young stage of the Orvasca subnotata. Orvasca subnotata is a nygmiine tussock moth in the family Erebidae, found in Indomalaya and East Asia, where it is known as a pest that feeds on millets..
it has a lovely yellow color body, with some black and white pattern can also be seen on the upperside of this caterpillar. It also has so many hairs along its body, and although it looks so beautiful, I would not want to touch it.
Here in the first photo, I found this on the leaf of a small bush during my recent photowalk, and you can see the destruction that it caused. There is already a big hole that it left from its feeding activities. certainly not something that I want to see in my garden for sure.
Here is the second individual from the same species at a different plant, not far from the first individual that I have today. It was walking around what seemed to be the fruit of the bush.

Amazing colorful body, even with the spikes-hairy cover on it. The destruction is the problem lol, beautiful yet dangerous :)
