A handyman job for not a handyman person

I have to admit that my handyman skill is near zero, but there is something inside me that said that I can do all those things myself, as it looks so easy. Most of the time I was wrong, as thos easy thing is not as easy as it look. And with my low level skill, although I might finish the thing that I want to make, the the result is not as nice as the picture that I have in my head, or those result of the DIY tutorial that I have watched on youtube prior to doing the work my self.

This time I made my self a small tunnel greenhouse that I want to use as the nursery place for all the plant that I want to plant in the future. And the nearest one is the shallot that I needed badly to start sowing the seed, so that it will be ready to be transplanted in the next 30 days or so.

hmm, lets just speak about the handyman job that I tried to do with my zero handyman skill. As I said I wanted to buid a tunnel greenhouse, and I made it using 1/2 inch pvc pipes, and the pole was made with 2 Inch PVC pipes which I filled with concrete mixture.

as you can see below is the outline of my work, with the 1/2 Inch pipes are bended to make the tunnel shape. I also need 3 1/2 inch pipes to hold all the bending pipes.

Here is the view of the pole for the greenhouse. This is actually the second time I built it, the last time I was even more crazy as I made it with small branch. with the idea that the dry season was coming, so a small pole will just hold it, but I was wrong, as two consecutive rains ruin the previous house.

as you can see, I also utilized bambo to the structure, and also the aluminium wire.

Here is the view of the chilli seedling that I sowed sometime ago, while it looks it grow well, but it is actually well behind schedule.

And here are the bamboo that I used as well. I need it to make the rack so that I could have a place to put the seedling tray, so that it will not be on thr ground which make it prone to pest attack.

And here is the view of the green house from the side and a little bit farther away from it. I wish that it will hold strong for a few round of seedling.

Although I must say that the result of the greehouse is not as great as I wanted, and as the saying goes, usually used to mock ot tease the close friend, Jelekan ken pegain batis, which means that the result is even worse than it has been made by foot. And there has been someone who had said that, when my first greenhouse trial was broken down by the rain.

Here is the rack to store the seedling, and I already sow two trays of greenbean. The one that was planted on the spot was eaten by a turtledove who attracted by the greenbean seed and eat it right after it sprouting out of the ground.

Nicely done! As long as you don't get any real strong thunderstorms with high winds it should protect them nicely. Creativity is the best way to get some jobs done, and you did great!
