The Hidden Power Of Praise
The concept of praise: Praise is the act of appreciating, acknowledging, and encouraging someone. Praise is more than a compliment; it is a powerful tool used to build confidence. Praise is a way of lifting the mind of the giver and the receiver.
Praise is a way of lifting children's confidence; when children are praised when they finish a job, they are encouraged to keep on with what they did. Children have a very fragile heart; children easily forgive and forget even if you are harsh to them, unlike adults.
Praise is a catalyst of self-esteem and motivation; it builds a sense of self-confidence and positive behavior. When a child does something good and is praised or encouraged, he keeps up with the behavior. When a child is praised, it creates a bond between the child and the person praising him; every child wants to be praised or encouraged for everything he or she does.
It also makes a child feel wanted, motivated, intelligent, and capable of doing anything. But when a child is overpraised, it makes the child feel full of themselfand start misbehaving, so when we praise a child, it is a way of encouraging the child to keep up with the good habits.
Happy independence to everyone from this end. Today happened to be a remarkable one for those of us from Nigeria. It's a day we commemorate the effort of our great fathers. Happy new month, everyone.
