Social media effect on adolescents.
Hello guys, hi everyone. Welcome to sci-fi multiverse weekly engagement. This week is have been such a great week and I am happy to be here. My name is @edwincj and I am going to be talking about the topic that have been given to us to discuss this week. This week we have been asked to talk about Effects of social media on adolescent mental health. So I am going to be telling you guys the few effects of social media on adolescent mental health.
As for me, I would first start with the fact that social media have different impacts on us humans, and the adolescent, but before we go there let's see what adolescent means. From what I know, adolescent are humans from the age of 10 to 19. So how do social media affects them. Social media have a great impact on the adolescent in this century, it can also be as a means of passing information and also as a means of learning, but it can also be a distraction if used in the wrong way, it can distract you and make you get low grades sometimes.
Social media can also be a mean sof earnings extra cash for themselves, people from 17-19, should have needs that sometimes they would solve on there own.most people around that age now earn from social media and other platforms. So social media can have different effects to an adolescent. To some of us, it is just a place that makes us happy and not lonely, cause most times in real life we are lonely. I would love at the negative part before ending my entry for this week.
Social media can also increase stress and anxiety in adolescent, too much of social media can make them very stressed out and can even cause them to be ill sometimes. There is something I have heard of recent which is called cyber bullying, I don't really know if it happens a lot because I don't know anyone who have been through it, but I heard that they also bully adolescent on social Media and can cause some bad issues for them.
