Amigos cinematográficos hoy culminé de ver una serie que me llamó muchísima la atención sobre todo toda la historia detrás de esta producción de la gran N roja. La serie en cuestión se llama "Ratched" quien me la recomienda es mi padre el cual junto a mi madre les ha tocado quedarse en casa luego de las sesiones de quimioterapia dado que mi mamá queda semanas bastante débil debido al tratamiento que le colocan. Las mismas son cada 21 días así que casi no tienen tiempo para hacer otra cosa que solo estar en casa.

Film friends, today I finished watching a series that caught my attention, especially the story behind this production of the big red N. The series in question is called “Ratched”. The series in question is called "Ratched" who recommended it to me is my father who along with my mother has had to stay at home after chemotherapy sessions since my mom is quite weak for weeks due to the treatment they put her. The sessions are every 21 days so they have almost no time to do anything else but just stay at home.

Mi padre me cuenta que esta historia tiene una conexión con la película ¨Atrapado sin salida¨ la cual dice que es una película de los 80 que se centra en un criminal que finge locura para evitar la cárcel por lo que fue internado en un hospital psiquiátrico. Lo curioso es que esta misma película existe una enfermera cuyo nombre es el de Mildred Ratched. Esta nueva producción de la gran N roja, habla del lado oscuro, de la vida que tuvo nuestra intrépida enfermera para llegar a los extremos de ser una rebelde en todos sus sentidos. En ambas producciones nos encontraremos temas como la rebelión contra la autoridad, la lucha por la individualidad y las condiciones de los pacientes en las instituciones mentales. Claro, capaz hoy en día todos estos métodos que usaban en los 70 u 80 han evolucionado y, por ende, cambiado. Pero quien quita, la misma iglesia nos ha escondido tantas cosas por tantos años que no sé qué imaginar.

My father tells me that this is the story has a connection with the movie ¨Atrapado sin salida¨ which he says is a movie from the 80's that focuses on a criminal who feigns insanity to avoid jail so he was committed to a psychiatric hospital. The funny thing is that this same movie there is a nurse whose name is Mildred Ratched. This new production of the big red N, speaks of the dark side, of the life that our intrepid nurse had to reach the extremes of being a rebel in every way. In both productions we will find themes such as rebellion against authority, the struggle for individuality and the conditions of patients in mental institutions. Of course, today all these methods used in the 70's or 80's have evolved and, therefore, changed. But who knows, the church itself has hidden so many things from us for so many years that I don't know what to imagine.

Esta nueva Mildred Ratched es interpretada por Sarah Paulson la cual sabemos que es una de las actrices más respetada en la gran escena cinematográfica por su versatilidad y participación tanto en cine como en TV además, por sus múltiples premiaciones por sus trabajos. No cabe duda que es una destacada actriz, productora, guionista y directora. Pues sí, bastante versátil nuestra querida Sarah. La primera que realizó este importante papel fue Louise Fletcher quien fue galardonada por un premio Óscar por su brillante actuación en la película antes mencionada, ¨Atrapado sin salida¨

This new Mildred Ratched is played by Sarah Paulson who we know is one of the most respected actresses in the big movie scene for her versatility and participation in both film and TV and also for her multiple awards for her work. There is no doubt that she is an outstanding actress, producer, screenwriter and director. Yes, our dear Sarah is quite versatile. The first one to play this important role was Louise Fletcher who was awarded an Oscar for her brilliant performance in the aforementioned film, “Trapped with No Exit”.

La serie está llena de suspenso, de un gran misterio y una gran trama que te lleva adentrarte a la historia. Tiene todo lo que a los aficionados a este tipo de producciones nos gusta. Además, los colores que usaron para la edición de la serie son preciosos, los paisajes, los vehículos. Y es que intentan reflejar la historia en los mismos años 70 cuando conocimos por primera vez a Mildred Ratched. Cada uno de los actores tanto principales como secundario jugaron un gran papel e interpretando con gran profesionalismo su personaje. No me agrado mucho el final, pero no puedo juzgar una gran serie por un final ya que si fuera así, no quisiéramos una nueva temporada de Game Of Thrones ja ja ja… Considero que es una buena serie que deben de ver así que bueno, les invito a verla.

The series is full of suspense, great mystery and a great plot that draws you into the story. It has everything that fans of this type of productions like. Also, the colors they used for the editing of the series are beautiful, the landscapes, the vehicles. And they try to reflect the story in the same 70's when we were first introduced to Mildred Ratched. Each of the main and supporting actors played a great role and interpreted their characters with great professionalism. I didn't like the ending, but I can't judge a great series by an ending because if it was like that, we wouldn't want a new season of Game Of Thrones ha ha ha ha... I think it's a good series that you should watch so well, I invite you to watch it.
