Ramses realised he was no different from the others. His days were an unremitting round of toiling, settling accounts, striving to give his family all they required. For his daughter, college tuition was a formidabled barrier that seemed inconquerable, what would obstruct his visions of the future.

As he took a sip of his coffee, Ramses nostalgically reflected upon Plato, his comrade from days gone by who had experienced unfathomable success. Plato had forever been the driven one, the imaginative individual who was certain that he could take charge of the world. Ramses had held him in high regard for his enthusiasm, yet their ways had eventually gone in different directions.

Plato had abandoned their rural settlement years ago, following chances that had brought him to affluence and influence. Ramses, in contrast, remained there, fastened to his obligations and the monotonous routine. With the passage of time, the separation between them had become progressively wider.

At present, Ramses was unable to deny the increasing hopelessness he felt in his core. He sought an exit from the perpetual cycle of destitution and disappointment. He sought assistance, and he was already certain of where he might procure it.
