For a while now, our children have been saving up money for a trampoline... until one day daddy happened to find one for 1/4th their budget and they were able to afford it!

This past weekend I went home to visit my family. They live out in the country, in a very rural area in Texas. The roads are one lane and gravel. I always like the drive and the visit as it gets me away from all the towns and people.

My dear friends, I greet you hoping that everything is going very well in your days.
This day started the day before. We already knew we would be traveling to a nearby city for medical reasons, so we had to organize all the logistics to ensure the transfer was successful.
I woke up at 3:00 a.m. because I had to prepare breakfast, since at that hour, it is difficult to find any place that sells food or at least water. I prepared everything, including fruits, and we left at 4:10 a.m.

Yesterday wasn't really active. The main activity being swimming, which isn't recorded by Actifit, my step count barely made it above 10k, which probably makes it my worst step count in years.
When I drove my mother to her physiotherapist appointment, I did walk a bit though. It was in a tiny village up the hills I mention often, with lots of beautiful old stone buildings and awesome small streets.

We did an afternoon walk on an upgraded trail. I think the mountain bike people organise a machine to smooth and level out some parts of the trail that had drainage issues. A few muddy sections that never seem to dry out and used turn into a bit of a bog looks now all fixed up.
