Yeah, silver coins for daily use would be tiny (coin fragments from Lisbon here). Still more practical than gold dust though.

These are cut-up coins from the Muslim period, found and exhibited at Lisbon Castle (Castelo de São Jorge).
This is why we need U.S. Common Coinage, Paper Coinage and Crypto Coinage... Our New and Improved "Circulating" Silver and Gold Coins will have huge amounts of Spending Power...
