LOL, that article mentions Daddies Sauce, I remember it when I was young but don't see it now. Stale meat... 😃.., I still douse the stuff on my steaks, I guess they are not tasty enough anymore. 😃
I actually like to put German curry sauce on steak, which is pretty similar. But the traditional condiment for steak in the Netherlands is garlic butter.
I like Garlic butter, but we never seem to have any in the house 😀
