One question: why are you instructing users to enter their username without @? Couldn't you simply remove the @ if they enter it? Then you could still note that it isn't needed, but not so prominently, so they don't need to think about it.

Agreed... this is on my list too. Been working on the backend/moderation this week to get the app approved. But this change is very doable.
