What is new in MOON Uni 2?
We have taken the time between the universes to great effect, development as a hobby is just that - a hobby, and we are not machines but humans. That said, mr. @hivetrending has done a lot of work to get the "multi-verse" ready for real life!
We have been hosting the moon server for more than 6 months now, and we continue to monitor and keep an eye on it.
Besides url provisioning and adjustments, which now work in our codebase, one of the most important things we wanted to work on was the nerf to officers.
This is an important update that addresses one of the most common feedbacks from Universe 1, and that is allowing universe level configuration of the power of officers.
Officer Nerf for Universe 2
So we did just that, leaving officers alone in Universe 1, but allowing us to nerf officers between 50-80% across the board, starting with the geologist and admiral, which have been lowered from +5% to +1%.
Some players will have to unlock these levels to see what benefits the higher levels give!
Deposits will be shifted to Universe 2
When Universe 2 launches we will switch the deposit mechanism to work for Universe 2, so for now you will no longer be able to buy Pizzabits in Universe 1. During universe 2 we hope to work on our deposit mechanism to allow multiple universe to be specified. Slowly but surely we are working on the underlying game codebase to make more and more things possible.
Additionally, and contrary to the way I previously presented it, there is no "registration" available for Universe 2, it will just launch on Tuesday - check out our Discord event!
What about the money?
Our prize pool is primed with almost 700 dollars of PIZZA just getting started!
During Universe 2 we will reserve the idea to give out minor distributions from the prize pool throughout the 9 month universe, but the majority of the prize pool will be distributed at the "End of Season" event - in this case "End of Universe". Universe Two will last exactly 9 months before exploding, and so will have a very unique gameplay.
Similar to last season, 50% of PIZZA deposits in game will be added to the growing prize pool starting from launch.
