Swapping around Praetoria for additional ROIs

One of the things I most enjoy about NFT-gaming is finding ways to play the game that other people don't see. Generally, players attack games head on, and spend a lot of time analyzing the first and maybe second dimensions of gameplay. While this is important, my specialty is playing third-order effects and tangential strategies that most people don't think of.

This is what is the most fun for me.

Now not all of these strategies I reveal publically. I of course want to be somewhat careful, as its a competetive market out there. But community is also something that is important, and the best strategies (in my opinion) are not extracting, as this damages the entire ecosystem, but actually adding value.

Sure, I have gotten into fights in Mavs Chat (who hasn't) about this, with some (small minded) people thinking that if I am playing a different game than they are, I must be a terrible person. So today I want to reveal one of my strategies that I am most proud of, and has already netted me 100s of dollars by providing value to other players.

And that is 'Plot Swapping'.

All lands are the same, right?

Well, yes and no. Beyond the Tundra and Canyon Conundrum, we have the issue of regional distribution. It is most advantageous for players to be grouped into one or few regions than spread out all over the map, since there are transport fees for resources between regions.

I have been managing a region, and one of my first plays was to invite other players in to play with us. This got a big boost with the Desalination Announcement, and I know our region is going to be one of the least salty out there.

So I swap your plot ANYWHERE, for a plot inside Pandon Reach. Happy to have you join us, let's make a great team.

But this also means I have plots sitting idle all over Praetoria. Not that great in ROI terms, right? WRONG!

I have been engaging in plot swaps throughout the continent, since every region is valuable, worth a premium, to the right person under the right circumstances. I do the same thing, swap (or sell and snipe on market), but this time with a small premium. I sweep the floor but sell exactly the plot people want for a small premium, netting some profit for me and a happy customer and hopefully new found friend in the process.

Now this is a little bit outdates, as I have continued to swap around, but here is an example of what I am working with:

Plots galore, all over! And yes, most people are extremely happy to swap with me, and get the specific plot that they need.

Many ask though - are you selling plots?

No! And, yes. I will sell them, but I don't have a price, I base my price on any given day based on the market - the replacement cost for me plus a small premium. I think these land prices will go higher over time, I am not looking to 'sell' permanently, but I am happy to negotiate a price for DEC based on the current market conditions, and then replace the plot off of the market immediately.

And this, my friends, is an example of an alternative ROI strategy that most people do not think of, and actually adds a lot of value to the ecosystem.
