Agroforestry System Tour - new Youtube Video!
Everyone should remember that my "main channel" on youtube, perhaps my main activity in this life, has to do with Permaculture, Agroforestry, Ecological Restoration and such "green" topics that are real, physical and practical. Sure I do a lot of other side projects, including development of HiveTools with @thecrazygm, but that's a hobby, no one pays me for that, although I did try.
So this is my main deal, and especially on days when I don't have any more emotional energy for HIVE and its open source politics, or any other type of politics - I fall back on my true passion, which is open source development of agroforestry systems.
Here is the most recent video:
Here is the description that I wrote for youtube:
You asked for it - here it is! After spending 10 days pruning, I give a tour of one of our on-contour, steep slope agroforestry system lots on Buena Vista farms. I show you what we are growing, what is growing natively, which crops are for making money, what harvests we are getting and what we hope to do in the future.
Subscribe to this channel for more videos like this, I am a Permaculture practitioner developing strategies for agriculture in the Andes mountains, strategies that actually involve growing things (agriculture) and not just having people pay for courses.
Whether you want to call it "syntropic" agroforestry, forest gardening or permaculture - we take all the best ideas and work to fit them in to an integral system of cultivation that recognizes both the third dimension (verticality) and the fourth dimension (time).
What's next for youtube?
I think I might be able to do a video (or two) for this channel from Guatemala, I am in @buttcoins' hotel and he has a few spaces where he has preapproved my desire to use a machete and my permaculture prowess to "do something", which I am definitely looking into "what" it might be - and I am leaning towards a lakeside lot next to the restaurant and bar that is currently dominated by a single castor tree (Ricinus communis).
We will see what happens, but at the back of my mind I am always thinking about my main channel, which is on youtube at: https://www.youtube.com/@EcoInstant
Thank you for a tour of your land, my friend! I like seeing what you're growing and the systems that you're creating! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
