DIY : Homemade cardboard guitar

avatar
A warm welcome to the diylovers and diyhubers of this community, how are you all doing and I hope all is well and fine. Today is a very special day as it's the birthday of one of the most important person in my life "my sister", ever since i started created various diy craft thanks to @diyhub my sister has so much loved it and has been asking me to make one for her, though due to time and chance i was unable to make one for her after my last diy post but today i decided to make something beautiful and lovely for her birthday today which is a cardboard guitar. Most people would think that it is childish of me to create such a thing but I actually enjoy doing it and my sister also loves it, the guitar is a diy gift which I made specially for her and she loved it. Just like many other diy craft I have made I will be giving a tutorial on how this lovely craft came about.

MATERIALS

To get an accurate and neat work the materials I used are as follows

1 carton/cardboard
2 gum
3 scissors
4 pencil
5 elastic rope
6 blade.
7 broom stick
8 black marker pen

HOW I CREATED IT

After getting my required materials, I started by cutting out a piece of carton by the length 35cm X 27cm and then cut out the shape of the guitar.

After getting the two shapes of the guitar, I then took another piece of carton with the width 7cm and gum it round the body of the shape of the guitar and then i took the other shape i have cut also and gum on top of it to look like this.

After Making the body of the guitar 🎸, I then made a hole in the center and It was now time for me to create the head and the strings of it. Firstly I cut out a long piece of carton with the length 35cm long and 6cm wide and then gum it to the guitar.

After completing that part, I then created the part where the string would be placed and i did this by taking my broom stick and gum it to the piece of carton that i have already carved out, and then I gum it to the top of the guitar.

I then gum a carton to the guitar and then I began to gum broom sticks to the top of the guitar as show below.

After achieving that part of the craft, it was now the time to insert the string to the guitar and I did this by taking my elastic rope and tie it to the top of the guitar and also to the down as well to complete the guitar.

After doing that, this was my final result and a picture of i and my craft.

I hope you all enjoyed reading through and thank you for your time on my post.
