Crafting a miniature handmade cardboard car
Warmest greetings to all the creative users of this community, i hope you all are having a nice day today just as I am. Yesterday was anything but ordinary. Instead of the usual humdrum of scrolling through my phone or watching another episode of a favorite series, I found myself knee-deep in glue, cardboard pieces, and a little brother who looked at me like I was some kind of superhero. My little brother rushed into the room, waving his school diary like it held a treasure map. “We have to make a cardboard car!” he exclaimed. His eyes sparkled with excitement, but I could also see a hint of uncertainty—perhaps he wasn’t sure how to turn cardboard into a car, that's when I decided to help him out with his project, and this was what we arrived at.

Materials
• Carton/ cardboard
• Embossed paper
• Old footwear
• Cutter
• Marker
• Top bond/Super glue/Evostic gum
• Pencil
• Binding iron

Making process
step 1
I cut my carton into 4 rectangular shapes of the same measurement About 30 cm by 10 cm. On one of the shapes I draw the side view of a car and after the drawing, I cut out the shape. I repeated the same in another rectangular shape to have two cut-out side views of the car.

step 2
After doing that, I then used the one of the rectangular shaped cardboard and carved out the position where the four tyres will be placed.

step 3
Next I applied gum at the edges of the side view of the car and joined it with the under.

step 4
After doing that, I then cut three pieces of cardboard of 10 cm each and used it to brace the two sides of the car as seen below.

step 5
The remaining rectangular shapes are used to seal the top of the car

step 6
In this step, I then used my black marker to form the wheel screen and door screen of the car.

step 7
Then I cut small pieces of red embossed paper to form the light of the car. I also cut a small cardboard and placed it between the two lights to beautify the car. I cut a small white paper and used it to serve as the plate number of the car.

step 8
After doing that, I then cut my used footwear into four circle to form the tyres and used sandpaper to smooth the surface, I also cut two iron so it can hold the tyres side by side.

step 9
I cut four pieces of small cardboard put gum on them and then placed them on the bottom floor of the car to hold and control the tyres.

step 10
Here I then attached the tyres which I have made to the car and that was the final step and my cardboard car is now complete.

the next morning when he presented the car at school. He proudly told his classmates how he and his big sibling built it together. His eyes sparkled as he explained each feature, and his teacher beamed with approval. I stood by the classroom door, unnoticed, but filled with pride. Crafting this reminded me of how a simple imagination can be brought to life through simple materials and crafting skills, I hope you all like my craft and feel free to drop your thoughts on the comment section, thanks for your time.
