Bringing paper to life : crafting a beautiful peacock wallmate
A lovely day to the wonderful and creative members of this amazing community, it's been a really great week and I hope you all are having a great time. One of the most beautiful expression of creativity is crafting, especially when simple materials like coloured paper can be transformed into a stunning piece of decoration. Today, i had some free time to spare and I decided to use it to craft something really creative, creating something with your own hands brings unmatched joy and satisfaction and recently I embarked on a creative project to craft a peacock wallmate using colored paper, and the end result was a vibrant, eye-catching piece that now proudly adorns a wall in my home. Here's how I made my peacock wallmate.
Materials
• cardboard
• Ruler.
• Scissors.
• Compass.
• Paper glue or gum
• Blue colour paper.
• Black colour paper.
• Green colour paper.
• Purple colour paper.
• Yellow colour paper.
• Orange colour paper.
MAKING PROCESS
step 1
To begin my craft, I began by making a frame using my cardboard and black colour paper, then I took my black paper and made a structure like a tree branch and gum it to the center of the frame.
step 2
Next I carved my cardboard to give me the shape of a peacock.
step 3
Then I attached the cardboard peacock on the prepared black tree and coloured it's head black and then attached a paper crown on its head as shown below.
step 4
After doing that, I then now cut green, yellow and blue pieces of colored paper to the same size with scissors.
step 5
Then I carefully cut it out bit by bit to make it look like wings and place them on top each other.
step 6
Then I took paper of these three colors green, yellow, purple and cut the papers to a certain size with scissors.
step 7
Then I attached the green, yellow and purple color papers to each other with paper glue.
step 8
Here I then gum the coloured paper which I have made to the tail part of the peacock using my paper gum and also gum the paper wings to the peacock also
step 9
In this step, I took a piece of orange paper and cut the orange paper with scissors to make some flowers.
step 10
Then I cut a large green paper with scissors to make some flower petals and then attach the flower petals with orange flowers around the peacock with paper glue.
After doing that, finally my peacock wallmate was now ready and below is my final result.
Creating such a craft is not only a test of artistic skill but also of patience and precision. Now, every time I glance at my handmade masterpiece, I am filled with a sense of accomplishment and happiness. This wallmate not only decorates my home but also reflects the love and effort I poured into making it. I really hope you all liked my peacock wallmate and it's always a pleasure sharing my creativity with you all, have a nice weekend.
