A home of colour's and craft || crafting a home wallmate from paper and clay

A lovely day to all the creative members of this community @diyhub, it's great to be in this space once again and I hope you all are doing well and fine. On a quiet afternoon filled with sunlight streaming through the window, I found myself drawn to a simple creative idea, one that speak of warmth, creativity and the comfort of home. As I looked around my room , a blank empty space on the wall caught my attention and that was when I decided to make something to elevate my room by making a decorative wall hanging using simple materials like paper and clay. Here's how I made this decorative piece.

MATERIALS

• Cardboard
• Colored paper
• Scissors
• Glue

To begin with my craft, I cut a 12 x 1 inches of cardboard and a 6 x 2 inches of cardboard also to put it in the middle.

In this step, I glued the cardboard pieces and wrapped them with colored paper. And I brought them to this shape.

After doing that, I then placed the long cardboard and gum the smaller cardboard on top of them one after the other. And I gave them the shape of a ladder with glue.

Next I made some flowers with clay. Here I used red, white, purple, pink and yellow colored clay.

Then I made some leaves and branches using green colour clay.

Now I put four flowers of four colors of clay on my cardboard wall hanging and put some green leaves made of clay on it.

Then I attached the stem made with clay on the wall hanging to look like flower.

I arranged the flowers on different branches of the tree.

Now finally, I then inscribed the initials HOME on the front top of the wall hanging using white colour clay and it was finally complete.

Creating this piece reminded me that "home" is not just a place; it is a feeling built with love, patience, and the little things we craft along the way. Whether made of bricks or foam, colors or emotions, a home reflects who we are and what we cherish. And sometimes, all it takes is a handful of flowers and a simple word to say it all.
