A Day As The President Of My Country.

As we all know, the struggle in Nigeria is actually real! There are lots of things I will love to do if I am privileged to become the president of the country. Firstly, I will actually be working on having stable light in Nigeria. It’s quite alarming that my country doesn’t have a stable light source. I will make sure every part of the country has a stable light supply.

Because having a stable light supply will have a very high amount of impact on the lives of the citizens of my country! Firstly, it will help citizens have a better chance of sleeping well at night! I literally can not imagine always sleeping at night in hot weather! I mean, we all know how Nigeria can be hot sometimes!

I literally have more pity on people who live in the northern part of the country! It’s one of the hottest places I have visited so far in my walking around in the country. It’s literally very hot, man! Just imagine how much hotter it will be at night after a long time of sunshine all through the day. It can be frustrating and tiring. I mean, I don’t know about anybody else, but for me, heat makes me so weak and frustrated that I barely function well whenever I have such encounters. That’s the reason why I barely spend a night outside my house in most cases. Except if I’m staying at an apartment with good power supplies or a hotel with a 24/7 power supply.

I believe that by doing this, many Nigerians will be productive, and it will also help them step up their games in every field of their career path. It will also help give Nigeria a good name! I remember coming across a video online where one of the richest men in the world, Bill Gates, came around to my country. He was in a room where he was having a discussion with a friend of his or business partner; I can’t really tell what his relationship with him is like. And all of a sudden, in the middle of the conversation, NEPA did their thing again and took off the light in the room.

He was in so much shock that his head couldn’t figure out what was really going on. He first thought he was about to be kidnapped or something. Other Nigerians that were there were just laughing so hard and were making jest of him because that wasn’t new to them, and they are already used to it. And that’s honestly not a good thing to write about. Although, some residential areas have constant power supplies! I mean, 24/7 hours of electricity.

But they are somehow expensive for some of the poor and middle-class masses to afford. And it shouldn’t honestly be like that. Another thing that has been a constant source for 24/7 hours of power supply is solar power! Which means a lot of money as well for some of the people in the country to afford. Why should I have to depend on solar or a generator to have a good power supply? It doesn’t just make any sense to me. I’m not even stopping anybody from embezzling the government money! But at least, they should try to do what the people want. I literally still do not understand why it is just so hard for them to do or understand.

Another major thing I will love to do as a president of the country is to beat down the high prices for food in general. It is just weird to see how much money I, as a person, spend on food generally. Because eating at home or purchasing fast food is expensive right now. It should be fair enough for everyone to purchase and eat well. Because food and water are actually a part of our everyday lives, we can barely do without them as humans. Because I sometimes can’t really understand why a sachet of pure water will cost #50 and bottled water will cost 200-250, depending on where you’re purchasing from.

It’s something that should be looked into honestly. I just hope someday all of this is looked into for a better country. There are lots and lots of things to talk about again, like the bad roads, oppression, etc., but I will stop here instead. GOD OVER EVERYTHING 🕊️❤️. Thank you for taking the time to go through my content. It's a pleasure to have you stop by, and I hope you've learned lots of lessons from the community's weekly prompt. This post is in response to the #Hivenaija weekly contest, edition 97.
