Adding a small amount of salt to water for plant cuttings is an unusual practice. =) Salt has natural antibacterial and antifungal properties, so a tiny amount could help prevent the growth of harmful microbes in the water that might cause the cutting to rot before it can root. =)

Oh that makes perfect sense! I add hydrogen peroxide for the same effect but even that stops working if the mold and algae get too strong
Thats great! =) What I do is change the water if the salt can't handle it anymore.
