Bukit Tinggi Clock Tower - The Destination for Tourist Attractions in West Sumatra (Bukit Tinggi)

Hi friends, how are you this afternoon? Hopefully everything is fine and can do activities as usual. Stay enthusiastic and hopefully all friends can enjoy a beautiful weekend with friends or family.

This time I took a long and tiring trip, how could I not, I left Banda Aceh for Padang, West Sumatra. A trip that took several days to reach the destination.

So tonight I will share when I stopped for a while in the Bukit Tinggi area which is already part of the West Sumatra Province.

One of the famous icons there is the Jam Gadang or also the Big Clock. Jam Gadang is a place that is a tourist attraction that is very crowded in this area.

In the afternoon, both local visitors and out-of-town visitors flock to this place. Of course, with so many visitors, the entrance road is congested, I also have to queue to get to the location.

After a while I arrived at the location and immediately parked the vehicle in the designated place.

very famous and was indeed built in a large size, this monument was built in a rectangle painted in white. Above the monument there is a Jam Gadang Bukit Tinggi that is what is called the clock tower or big clock.

People who come here usually take pictures of the clock tower and also the park here. They enjoy the afternoon with friends or family, I see people who come here on average with their families.

Every time I see an interesting object, I immediately take a picture using an Android camera.

Parents and children gather here, I think this is their destination to enjoy the weekend. In addition to the clock tower, there are also several small parks that are arranged and planted with ornamental plants.

Another interesting thing besides its icon is riding around on horses, the decorated horses are called Kuta carriages. Maybe in other areas the name will be different. These horses can carry several passengers and will be taken around the city.

These horses seem to be used to crowds so they don't feel disturbed, I've seen horses that go berserk in crowds and it's very worrying.

But it seems that it does not apply to these horses that have been trained and look very calm, these horses also look very attractive because they have been decorated by their owners. The wild impression is no longer visible on these horses. By being decorated like this, it has become an attraction in itself and a concern for people who first come here.

The traders also do not want to let this moment pass by by displaying their wares to be sold to visitors who come here.

A large black statue was built in the middle of the park. This statue is several feet tall and quite large with a black color. I had time to look for what statue it was. It turned out to be a statue built for the unknown hero park. Even this park is also called the unknown hero park and is located near the clock tower park.

In the afternoon and when people are crowded, the manager also turns on the fountain with various attractions. This is also one of the centers of attention for visitors. Not only traders but clowns also seek sustenance here. They wear various costumes and entertain the children here.

It's fun to be here with other visitors. People feel entertained and for me this can relieve a little fatigue.
