The evolution of marketing from web2 to web2 and the role of graphic design in marketing
The transition from centralized platform of web2 to decentralized ecosystem of web3, the core principles of marketing had undergone some significant transformation. A few years ago before the introduction of web3, products were defined solely as goods and services focused to meet customer's needs which aimed at quality and branding, but this is different in web3 , products now focus on empowerment and community involvement. Prices for products in the web2 era were fixed, this was influenced by the market demand and perceived value, but in web3 , price has been influenced by volatility and tokenomics in the cryptocurrency space. No one would have assumed the rapid change of marketing when we were accustomed to the traditional means of marketing. I'll be stating a few evolution that has happened over the years.
Decentralized Distribution
Web 2 traditionally had relied on physical and digital storefronts as a channel for distribution but with the evolution, through decentralization, intermediary has been removed and had allowed global access without the need for physical medium.

Graphic design is a craft where professionals create visual content to communicate messages
The goal of graphic design is to create visually appealing products that convey certain messages or information. Certain elements are combined to create an appealing image in representation of the message hoped to be passed. Graphic design has been one of the major tools in advertising and marketing in this age following a designed composition of passing information. Unlike the traditional medium of advertisement, graphic design has beautified the means of marketing through different logic and representation. In front end web design, the knowledge of graphic design has been employed in the physical appearance of the front page to certain beautification that is applied in the process of programming.
I work with graphics in the area of blending images to represent certain messages and representation of certain entities and we see this in our daily activities. The evolution of marketing has transformed in these areas; static to dynamic, fixed to flexible, centralized to decentralized, mass advertising to community driven, from target audience to active community, and from linear to Blockchain -enable.

There is a very clear evolution between these two types of webs, and I think it is not necessary to understand much about technology to see some of their differences.
