Pictures prompt: Echoes of the past

It's been five years since the abandonment of JCC Studio, a place once known for its liveliness in the heart of Tokyo City. Rustles of weeds now push through the cracked floor, shelves once stacked high with everything from canned goods to candy bars were bared. The few dusty containers that survived the sudden decline now ooze with the smell of stern rottenness.
James kneed to pick up a small rust machine thrown at the corner of the shelves. He knew how valuable the small machine was when the studio was still functional

Streams of thoughts flowed through his mind, was it a slow decline? A business that couldn't keep up? Or something more abrupt?. He could almost hear the beeping of the checkout scanner as he stared at it.

Even though the wall looked decayed, he could still see beauty in it. For a moment he wondered about the lives that intersected within these walls, the everyday moments that once filled this space. He held back his tears as they brought memories of the past before his eyes.
"What stories did they carry through these doors?" he mumbled softly. He wondered the number of people who once lived on the wages that came from this desolate wall. Now he knew he wouldn't let this place become echoes of the past.
"I need a favour from you" His voice reverberated through his cell phone.
"What do you need?" The voice on the other end answered.
"Help me rebuild JCC-studio. Some places are too vital to be a story of the past".
