Oh you meant "Tyrannical Opinion Enforcement" when you were saying "Social Justice"... It all makes sense now

There are all these words we've incorporated into our language now that a decade ago were not really here. Some of them go back a bit further. Safe Spaces, "Triggering", Social Justice, etc. I'll admit I've gotten to the point where those words themselves are often "triggering" to me. I don't expect the world to be safe spaces. I don't want to demand the world conform to what I imagine it should be. I want to acknowledge things and adapt. I know it will often be things I do not like.

The label "Social Justice" though... I'm actually pretty sick of that label.

It implies in its title that it is doing something good for "society". It translates to being the "normalization police" but the concept of what is normal is purely based upon the opinion of the person pursuing it. It can also gain further momentum depending upon how many other people they convince to go along with it.

They decide they don't like a word. They call themselves "Social Justice Warriors" and demand people stop using that word, or replace it with an alternative.

They decide they don't like who they are, so they imagine what they think they would like to be instead, and rather than them ACTUALLY being that thing they just demand those around them treat their imagination as the authority on reality. If you dare to say "no" or not go along with their desires you are the bad guy and they will seek to destroy you in the name of "social justice".

In language words have a lot more meaning than we give them credit for. Justice is a thing. We tend to lend that a specific mental qualifier and understanding. Slap "social" in front of it and it suddenly becomes subjective, and based upon opinion.

As I understood it Justice was supposed to be unbiased. That was the goal anyway.

As soon as we slap "social" in front of it we are turning the entire process into something that is by design tyrannically biased.

Yet with this word play and manipulation it becomes the first rock in a rockslide. A cascading mess of people demanding their imagination and opinion is more important than objective reality. Worse they demand that other people must agree with their imaginations on how the world should be or they should be destroyed.

Then they alter history, play with words and accuse others of being dictators, fascists, racists, misogynists, etc. if they dare to disagree on any single point.

They are DICTATING the behavior of others while calling the others the dictators.

This isn't even the worst aspect. It seems the more we allow this the more society as a whole seems to be losing the ability to actually perceive and approach reality objectively.

I am triggered by "social justice" as a phrase. I mostly keep it to myself but when I hear that phrase I have an inward growl and a little anger.

I don't demand people stop using it. That would make me into someone just like the people I am complaining about.

I actually would be fine with people using it and any other labels/phrases as long as they truly took the time to think about them rather than just following a trend, and going with the flow.

Thinking for yourself can go a long way. Yet in a time where opinion overshadows reality it can leave you isolated and alone. Which is more important reality, or feeling good about your situation? Do you pay attention to the cliff as you get close to it or do you run off the edge because that is what all the other Lemmings are doing?
