Your focus determines what you see

I watched a YouTube short today where a guy was talking about politics, and at the end of the video, he said you have to rewatch the video to understand it. I was curious and did that immediately I still didn’t get what the guy was trying to say until I checked the comment session. Somebody in the comment section decoded what the guy was saying and this guy was not just talking about politics but there was a caption under the video that was talking about something very different and if you’re not paying attention to the guy and the movement of his body, you might not get this message and the message under the video is the most important thing the guy was trying to pass across.

I know we’ve all been in this situation where you watch a video and you have to rewatch it before you get the actual information and this is because you focus on something else and what you focus on lets you miss the vital information. You focus on the video, when we relate this to our life you will realize that we can be blind to the obvious and this is because we concentrate on something else entirely leaving the most important message of the story, this happens to us all several times in our life.

The perfect example of this is when you see people that their love is one-sided. It is easy for you and an outsider to notice it, especially if the partner is not in love at all, as an outsider It will be easy for you to notice, and no matter how obvious this might be to everybody the person who is in love may not notice, this is because he focuses on the love and they neglect every other thing. If you’re not in this guy‘s shoes, you would judge him and call him a fool and how could you love somebody who doesn’t love you or somebody who treats you badly but the truth is it is easy to judge.

Your focus with determine what you see, I know some people might disagree with this, but it is true. If you should focus on bad things you will see bad is as simple as that. It is easy to notice something that you are focused on and that is why it is easy for other people to see your mistakes no matter how intelligent you are you might not notice that mistake. Why it is not always good to assume that people know what they are doing, sometimes you have to call their attention to it.

You might be blind to your blindness

It is very difficult for people to focus on two extremely technical things at the same time which is why when you focus on fault in a relationship your love begins to lack and when you focus on love in a relationship, it is very difficult for you to also focus on fault. You can’t focus on two technical things at the same time which is why our focus determines what we see and how we behave.Things can be in front of you and you may not see them and this is always a result of your focus.
