When I was working in Benin City Nigeria, the boss I was working for hated my excuses for not always coming to work early. The main reason was that the house was very far from my workplace, I always gave her excuses about traffic and sometimes about me trying to get things before coming to work but she didn’t always buy these excuses and she always put the blame on me and that is the reason why I hate my boss. It took a while before I understood that excuses are the things we say to make ourselves better but not to be better.

Most times excuses are the things that we say just to make ourselves feel better for not doing or doing something, instead of improving ourselves or trying to be better. e we give ourselves excuses to keep doing or not doing the things that we can improve on. My excuse when I was working in Benin City was my house was very far but if I had woken up early, I’d have gotten out of bed on time, I would avoid being late to work or if I should plan my work well I wouldn’t be late all the time. My excuses gave me comfort to remain the same and hate the person trying to make me better.

Excuse is like a comfort zone

One thing I know is that when we can’t let go of our excuse, it will become very difficult for us to do anything and the main reason why some people are so successful is because they don’t look at the excuse they are always looking at the solution. An excuse is like a comfort zone, and it is also a bridge between regrets and fulfillment, immediately we are comfortable giving excuses without providing a Solution we will always remain the same, and our life might even become even worse because instead of trying to be better our excuses will make feel safe and we settle.

The main reason why some people are worthless is because they have too many excuses and when something becomes so plentiful it becomes worthless and that is what happened to some people, too many excuses make us look unserious, cheap, and lack of zeal.  Just because we have reasons for doing something that doesn’t mean they are right even a serial killer have reasons for doing things that they do, we must question our reasons very well, and some reasons are there to trap us.

Seek solution

Solution can be hard and the main reason why people give excuses is just for an easy way out because most people love things when they are easy, but nothing good comes easy, no matter how good the excuse that we are giving ourselves not to do something that will be beneficial for us it will only slow us down, instead of us looking for an easy way out we can provide a solution. There is power in solutions and for you to make money or to be great in life you need solutions, you can easily sell your solutions to make money. Excuse is just a trap and also a way to make ourselves feel better. We must try every day of our life to always seek a solution.
