One of the things I’ve realized these days is that going to school might give you a certificate, but it might not give you the skills you need to be relevant for life. I’m beginning to understand why some people’s parents force them to go into nursing. Apart from the fact that it allows you to earn a lot of money, which is good and profitable, it also gives you a skill where if you go to any part of the world your skills will still be relevant and your school will stay with you no matter what.

A friend of mine got laid off at work and after that job, he was selecting jobs because there were a lot of job offers for him and he was selecting the good ones. Most of these companies know how valuable his skills are and all of them are fighting for them to appoint this guy but this doesn’t apply to everybody. Some people go to school just for a certificate and they graduate with no skills.

Most people don’t realize that there is a difference between a certificate and a skill. Sometimes you can be holding a certificate but anybody can replace you.

We have people with different certificates that cost a lot of money but anybody can replace them at work. You don’t even have to go to school before you replace them. What they employ these people for in a company any anybody can do their job, Most companies are just paying for their certificate not for their skill and this is more reason why it is easy for them to just send you home when they feel that they need to.

This is the problem that most people are battling with. They indeed have certificate, but they didn’t have a Unique skill that differentiate them and it gets more difficult when they dont have a job because they find it difficult to see real job and this can also make their life very hard. when you don’t have skill that attract you it become very hard for you to get a job even when you get a job you’re likely going to settle down for anything you get.

It is very important that after getting a certificate, which doesn’t have anything to do with skill we should further our education

Education doesn’t end when we graduate from university and this is a common mistake that most people make. You don’t have to stop going to school when you graduate from university, you can always take online courses about tech or take per time courses that will give you huge skill for you to be important in the market so that when people are getting laid at work, you will not be part of them and even if they send you home it will be easy for you to get a new job.

Skill is very important in our present world because it makes life easier for us and no matter how old you are you can always learn new skills that make you relevant in society and these days you don’t even have to get a physical job you can always work from home.
