Busy day

Today I cooked something I had a presentation and it was impromptu because I was told to present on Friday but thank God I’ve practiced before going to class today,the lecturer said he wanted to know the serious ones among us who will prepare ahead and do researches and all, it was really something because some of the group members didn’t even come in my group we’re sixteen in number but only nine people were around this morning,I mean the lecturer should not expect much from us because we’ve not dived into the topic, I’m the group leader of group one but group two members were the first to present and while they were presenting about three people from my group entered the lecture theater and I was able to cut out some parts successfully because of the absence of the rest,it was already our turn and some people were already clapping while I was trying to insert the last two lines in my head,I just had to mount the podium and give an introduction on the topic we were about to present on. I had not even reached the spot where I’ll introduce the topic and my colleagues in the crowd were applauding and calling my name, well I’m kind of used to it already so I didn’t think much of it , when people saw that the clapping and all was still going on,even people that we’re not close were clapping and shouting my name, to be honest the applauding and all gave me courage and I’m like these people have hailed me so I must not mess up.

After I did the introduction the girl who is next was already having stage fright and I’m like I did this just now so it’s your turn and don’t let us down, she smiled and started her presentation,I didn’t expect much from her but she really impressed me and other members of the group did theirs and did it well, I was so proud of my members and the lecturer was impressed as well, other groups did their presentation and did well too although most of them were absent but they still managed to put their words together and form something good, after the presentation we all met and commended ourselves for our good work and the lecturer said the presentation is a test and he’s recording it and I’m like thank goodness I did well and the rest of the group did well.

When I got home I did the small chores and cooked, normally I would be so tired and I won’t have strength to cook but today I forced myself because things are already expensive and I can’t keep spending a fortune on meals I can make myself,I cooked and ate and I did a little research on susan wenge and that’s because my friends have told me different things and I’m still trying to understand what exactly inspired her to make all the sculptures, some say whenever she wants to mold that she’s always in another realm and their reason is because they believe that ordinary people cannot mold certain sculptures not to talk of a white woman. All these are things that went on today and I won’t say today is somehow because of I enjoyed my food and did well in the presentation
