Crotalaria
Crotalaria is a genus of flowering plants in the family Fabaceae, subfamily Faboideae.[1] The genus includes over 700 species of herbaceous plants and shrubs. Africa is the continent with the largest number of Crotalaria species (about 400 species), which are found mainly in moist grasslands, floodplains, depressions and along the edges of swamps and rivers, but also in deciduous lands, roadsides and fields. Some species are grown as ornamental plants. The common name "rattlepod" or "rattlebox" comes from the fact that the seeds become loose inside the pods when ripe, and make a sound when the pods are shaken.

![]() | iNaturalist is a citizen science platform and online social network that allows users to record and share observations about biodiversity, as well as assist in species identification. The platform allows users to upload photos or videos of plants, animals, and other organisms, which can then be identified by a community of other users. In addition, iNaturalist also has an automatic identification feature that uses computer vision to help identify species. |
