Miana iler is a shrub that can reach a height of 1.5 m. Its leaves are efficacious as a medicine for hemorrhoids, boils, postpartum fever, ear inflammation and irregular menstruation. In taxonomy, the species name for miana is Coleus scutellarioides. The species is included in the genus Coleus of the Lamiaceae family.
