Rainy Sunday

Hello friends!

It's Sunday, it's 11:33 and it's raining. It seems to be a different day today, calm and longed for. On Sundays, days of sun and smiles, days of rest and family, days for walks and activities that motivate us, or just for doing nothing. There are many ways to live a Sunday.

Here after months of sunny days we looked at the sky waiting for that water full of life, that would make everything cleaner, fresher and greener. We wanted water, humidity and fresh air, to breathe better and to see a sky of another color.

The days, the weeks and the months passed, days of intense sun that I adore that gives us energy but sometimes dazzles us, and everything drier, too much, we felt losing our balance and we thought that the summer was going to be long and hard, with a thirsty land that watches the clouds come and go without further ado. No water or anything else.

But everything ends, everything changes, and it is never late, yes, although it has arrived later than usual, we have cool days, with clouds and although I miss our sun that is always with us, we needed this restful silence only interrupted by the raindrops that peal on the roofs and create puddles in the streets.

We look out the window, with a cup of coffee in hand, a bucolic moment that we hardly imagine, since it is not usual. There are those who will find it normal, another rainy and sad day, but when you look at the sky one day after another every time certain clouds appear it is a joy, a gift that we expected as children await their gifts, with enthusiasm and desire. Although without surprise, rather with relief.

We are happy that summer will arrive with a little more water, with a grateful land, this is a great gift to be able to better enjoy our beautiful surroundings. We live in a constant cycle and it is necessary to experience everything. We missed that rain, those unusual days, although we know we won't get used to it, on the contrary, I don't think it will last much longer, the gray days don't get longer and when they do we get tired quickly, we miss our bright days with blue skies.

But today we wanted to stop, close our eyes, listen to the calm rain, and only a car pass by. What better day than a Sunday, with more time to look at the window and see the glass adorned with drops that slip and fall at their own pace. The rhythm of the rain.

PETRICOR, that aroma of wet earth, now feels magical. A unique sensation that seems to have given us all pause. Yes, everything is slow, motionless except for the rain itself that falls gently.

That's important, it falls smoothly, the precise intensity, without causing damage or problems due to excessive power, that's worse. We need sweet delicate rain falling on us, on the fields, on the eager earth, and nourish us with life softly and with a calm cadence, with a calm rhythm, letting everything soak little by little. There's no rush, it's Sunday.
