How to cool down on hot summer days? Make today amazing with Handheld fans!

I thought I wouldn't be posting on the August Hive Collector's theme Handheld Fans posted by @mipiano, however...

In recent days, people living in countries in Europe, as well as those near the Mediterranean Sea, have been reporting their experiences with excessive temperatures (over 40°C during the day in the places where they live), so I was thinking about how I would cool down.
Would it be a fan or an indoor air conditioned space?

On these hot days, I met ladies on the streets of Thessaloniki who were cooling themselves with their fans, and I saw that they were mentioned in #summervibes posts, so they pushed me to write something on the subject of handheld fans.

Handheld Fans are not my accessory, my partner doesn't have one (she doesn't use them), neither does my mother and aunts, so I don't even have a place to take pictures of them.

Until a few weeks ago, while preparing to go on vacation, in a large market, I did not find a bunch of fans on offer on the shelves.

I decided not to buy them anyway, because I don't need them and I don't have anyone to give them to, so I just photographed them and looked at their designs.

Wooden, plastic, with canvas or lace, plain, colorful, there are different ones, for everyone's taste.
I liked these two out of all: one wooden, with details of flowers and the other plastic with a colorful cloth that says Make today amazing

And so, I went on vacation, and on the last day at sea, in a souvenir shop, I led, you guessed it - handheld fans.

I just photographed them, and the designs are real Greek, ornaments, cats, and one that could go into the 18+ category.

When I saw the pictures on this "cheeky" fan, I couldn't help but laugh, imagining how a lady was cooling off on the street or in a theater hall or at a ball.

I didn't need cooling (not in that way), especially not for the price of the cheapest handheld fan of €5.

Would I be able to introduce myself as a collector if I bought a few pieces? 🙂
It wouldn't cost me much, since the prices range from €0.6 to €3.4 per piece in Serbia or from €5 to €8 in Greece...

Perhaps handheld fans could also be included in the price check #HivePPP by country?
I'm almost sure that in the countries in the east, the prices would be the most favorable, because the ones that are on offer in the market in Serbia, and probably those in Greece, are of Far Eastern (PRC) production.

If I needed cooling, if I found myself in very high temperatures, I'm not sure that fans like this could help much.
Handheld Fans, as an accessory, would be worn as a fashion detail, and some of the ones I found on offer could be shortlisted for various occasions, except for this one with explicit images, which is inappropriate even for chilling with the family.

The collector who thought that would not post this month haha. But you can always (almost always) find them in souvenir shops, as you did. Yeah, maybe the last one would not be appropriate to use, I guess at any public space hahaha, but wow, how cool is this one:

I also liked the wooden one with the painted flowers, and the white with the blue patterns from Greece, below the one with the cats. :)

Thank you for not forgetting about the handheld fans and bringing them even though you didn't have any. But we can find solutions, as we see in your case 😉

In both shops, in Belgrade and in Thessaloniki, I happened to come across shelves with handheld fans, so I decided to join this month's theme, the pictures I took in the shops 🙂
This collector didn't seek for handheld fans, because honestly, I didn't know in which stores they were sold (until now 🙂).

If I were to use them, I would definitely choose one carefully and with great interest, probably one of these with the inscription Greece on it.

Oh, so in the end, you didn't buy any? Not even that 18+? 😂

Even though I have that wrist movement appropriate for a handheld fan, I'm male, it doesn't fit me, not even the 18+ one 😅

I see they sell lots of fans around there 😍 I'll take the flamingos one, it's beautiful ❤️

Even if you haven't bought any this time, they're a useful accessory for cooling off on hot days, especially if you're outdoors and there's no other way to cool off, I think so haha but only to a limited extent, although I don't think the last fan would be very useful for that, quite the opposite haha 😂
